Football
The Tigers cruised to a 63-0 victory over the Allegheny Alligators on senior recognition day. The victory moved the seniors to 38-8 for their career. Senior quarterback Zack Jenkins threw for 221 yards, while senior Sean Gary lead the ground attack with 148 rushing yards. Senior Corey Stump finished the day with 137 rushing yards. Wittenberg forced four Gator turnovers including an interception by senior Ryan Mauer.
Men’s Basketball
The Tigers opened the season with 87-78 victory over the Capital Crusaders. The opener was part of the NCAC/OAC showdown which was played in Westervile, Ohio, junior Jaelin Williams lead. The Tigers in scoring with 21 points. Williams also doled out a team high four dimes. Junior Shane Edwards pulled down 14 boards on the day for the Tigers. The Tigers shot 47.1 percent from the field on the day.
Swimming and Diving
The Women’s Swimming and Diving Squad split a couple of dual meets last week. The Tigers first beat Ohio Northern at  home. The win pushed the Tigers record to 4-1 on the year. That meet saw victories in 11 of 16 events. The Tigers then fell in their NCAC opener to Oberlin by a score of 175-123. Their male counter-parts also split the two meets. The male aquatic athlete fell in their match with the Polar Bears 184-117 but then were able to best the Swimming Yeoman of Oberlin.
