The Tigers and the Yeomen faced off for the third time this season, ending with Wittenberg beating the Yeomen. The Tigers won with 70 points to Oberlin’s 54, advancing to the semifinals against Denison University on Friday, then they went on to win the Championship game.

On Friday, the Tigers took on Denison University’s Big Red, and had a beautiful finish of 97-73. That game secured the Tigers spot in the championship game against Ohio Wesleyan University’s Battling Bishops.

That contest was one for the books, because the Tigers captured the title of NCAC Tournament Champions, where they scored 82 points to OWU’s 70.

The quarterfinal game ended with Chad Roy, ’18, leading with 14 points. Both James Johnson, ’20, and Mitchell Balser, ’19, led in assists with five. The Tigers made 16 points off turnovers and scored 38 points in the paint.

In the semifinal game, Johnson scored 23 points off the bench, tying with Balser. Johnson set a record for himself, making 19 points in the first half.
