Officers observed an intoxicated student in the area of East College Ave. The male also urinated on the sidewalk. The male was cited in the Dean’s Office for the infractions.
10/29/2013 @ 11:49 a.m.
Officers spoke to a professor in Synod Hall who found his officer door unlocked, despite having left it secure the previous night.
10/30/2013 @ 12:02 a.m.
Officers responded to the student center regarding a smoldering fire in a trash can. The fire was extinguished by officers.
10/30/2013 @ 10:54 a.m.
Officers investigated a reported suspicious male at the HPER. Officers located the person who was found to have an active trespass letter through the university. The male was arrested and processed at the Clark County Jail for one count of criminal trespassing.
11/01/2013 @ 12:19 a.m.
Officers responded with Springfield Fire, and Physical Plant, to North Woodlawn Ave. regarding a tree that had fallen onto a university-owned house. Students were rehoused for the night and safety precautions were taken until cleanup and structure evaluation could be completed.
11/01/2013 @ 9:34 p.m.
Officers observed an intoxicated non-student walking on Warder St. near North Fountain Ave. while on patrol. A family member was called to pick up and care for the individual.
11/03/2013 @ 1:39 a.m.
Officers responded to Tower Hall to assist an RA with a suspicious person on the fourth floor. Upon the officers’ arrival, the suspicious person was located and found to be a student in a Halloween costume looking for his girlfriend.
11/03/2013 @ 2:55 a.m.
Officers assisted Springfield Police Department with checking the campus district for a theft suspect from the Speedway Station on North Limestone St. Officers located a suspect on East College but they were not involved in the theft. The individual was a non-student with a criminal history. Officers issued a trespassing letter from university property.
