Officers performed routine building checks and located unsecured doors at Tower Hall and Myers Hall. Rooms were secured and hang tags were left for residents.
03/10/2014 @ 12:44 a.m.
Officers observed a Dodge truck driving on the sidewalk and revving his engine multiple times on the 400 block of Woodlawn Avenue. Officers identified the non-student driver and detected a strong odor of alcohol on or about his person. The driver was subsequently arrested for OVI (Operating a Vehicle Impaired) and other traffic-related infractions.

Officers observed a Dodge truck canvassing the area in front of the HPERC and the park in the Upper Lot across from the HPERC. Officers approached the vehicle and identified the occupants, then ran them through the Springfield City Dispatch. Both came back clear for wants and warrants, but one had a history of numerous criminal violations and was criminally trespassed from Wittenberg University.

Officers took a report from staff at the Peace Center regarding a chair that was missing from the front porch.
03/13/2014 @ 5:08 p.m.
Officers checked the area of North Fountain Avenue and found broken and shattered beer bottles and broken/damaged furniture in the yard of a residence, along with full bottles of beer. Damaged screened windows were also noted. Photos were taken and residents were cited.
03/15/2014 @ 10:10 p.m.
Officers assisted the Springfield Police Division with a suspicious male reported to be in the area of Faculty Court. The male was clear of any warrants and sent from the area.
03/15/2014 @ 11:11 p.m.
Officers in the area of North Plum Street observed a vehicle cross over the double yellow center dividing line. The driver was issued a citation for the infraction.
