10/17/14  Officers were dispatched to Firestine Hall in reference to an odor of marijuana. The student admitted to smoking marijuana prior to entering the building, but did state he still had a grinder and a small amount of marijuana on his person. A Dean’s Summons was issued for the infraction.
10/18/14  Officers observed two suspicious males yelling profanities at a security officer on the 800 block of N. Fountain Ave. Both males were advised and sent from the area.
10/19/14  Officer Evans observed an intoxicated male in the alley behind a residence on W. College Ave. The male had an open container of beer in his hand. Officers made contact with the student, and the student no longer had the open container in his possession. Officers asked the male about the violation, and he stated he threw the container in the yard when he observed the officer. The student was issued a Dean’s Summons for the infraction.
10/21/14  Officers were dispatched to a residence on N. Wittenberg Ave. in reference to a suspicious person knocking on the door. Both parties were intoxicated and looking for a place to sleep. Both were issued Dean’s Summons for the infraction.
10/22/14  Officers were dispatched to Shouvlin Hall to meet with a student in reference to a medical emergency. The student was transported to the Springfield Regional Medical Center for evaluation.
10/23/14  Officers were dispatched to assist the Springfield Police Division in reference to an assault complaint reported at McMurray’s Bar. A student stated the bouncer assaulted her as he was escorting her out of the bar. Officers reviewed video footage from the bar, and it appeared the student was the aggressor in the incident. Officers were able to determine the student was only 19 years old and intoxicated at the time of the incident. The student was issued a Dean’s Summons and escorted back to her residence. Student Development was notified.
