It was a bittersweet night for the Tigers, as Wittenberg lost its final home game of the 2014 season with a 5-0 loss to sixth-ranked Kenyon College.
Before the game started, the Tigers held a  farewell ceremony, honoring the seven seniors for their years of hard work and dedication to the program, before taking the pitch one last time at the Edwards-Maurer Field. As the season comes to a close, the Tigers say goodbye to seniors James Van Artsdalen, Reed Glosser, Mitch Rudibaugh, Jack Mossman, Adam Pitchel, Joe Poff and Brian Boutin.
The Lords wasted no time getting on the board, with their first goal coming in the thirty-sixth minute. The Tigers’ defense was able to hold strong for the remainder of the half, as they went into the break with the Lords only up by one. The game was broken wide open in the second half with four Kenyon goals. The Tigers chances were few and far between in the 90-minute session with the Lords, having only 14 shots; only five shots were on target. The Tigers chances were headed up by Boutin with four shots and three coming on goal. The other two shots on goal for the Tigers were provided by freshman Cameron Ferguson.
