09/03/2015 Officers were dispatched to Myers Hall in reference to blood found in the first floor men’s restroom. No victim was located. WFF was notified to clean up the blood.
09/03/2015 Officers were dispatched to New Residence Hall in reference to a smoke alarm. Officers isolated the alarm to a room and identified the resident. The resident was using some hairspray when the alarm sounded. The alarm was reset.
09/04/2015 Officers were dispatched to Tower Hall in reference to a smoke alarm. Officers isolated the alarm to a room and identified the resident. The resident was using some deodorizer when the alarm sounded. The alarm was reset.
09/05/2015 Officers were dispatched to the Student Center in reference to a sick student. The student advised he was suffering from a cold and wanted officers to transport him to the hospital. The student refused a squad and advised he would ask a friend to transport him to the hospital.
09/05/2015 Officers were dispatched to Ferncliff Hall in reference to possible identity theft. Officers met with a student who stated an unknown individual possibly opened a credit card in her name. No suspects were listed at the time of this report. This incident is under investigation.
09/06/2015 Officers were dispatched to Sprecher Apartments in reference to a fire. Officers met with the resident who stated she was cooking when the back burner of the stove caught fire. Officers noted soot on the wall above the stove and microwave. The Springfield Fire Division responded and declared the scene safe, and the alarm was reset.
09/06/2015 Officers were dispatched to Park Place in reference to a reported burglary. Officers met with the residents who advised an unknown individual forcefully opened the common hallway door and then attempted entry into an apartment. No entry was made into residence, and nothing was missing. No suspects were listed at the time of this report. This incident is under investigation.
