09/13/2015 Officers were dispatched to Ferncliff Hall in reference to an assault. Officers met with a student who stated she was slapped by another student while attending a house party. Officers spoke with the second student, who stated at no time did he slap anyone.  This matter has been referred to Student Development for evaluation.
09/14/2015 While on patrol, officers observed a large fire in a grill on the porch of a West College Avenue residence. Officers helped extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire appeared to be an excess amount of grease.  No damage was done to the structure of the residence.
09/14/2015 While on patrol, officers observed a male passed out in the Tower Hall parking lot. The male was visibly intoxicated and attempted to provide false information to officers about his identity. Officers eventually identified the male as a student. This matter has been referred to Student Development for evaluation.
09/14/2015 Officers were dispatched to the Campus Ministries House in reference to several stolen traffic signs. Officers recovered the items and returned them to the City of Springfield. No suspects were listed at the time of this report.
09/15/2015 Officers were dispatched to Keller Apartments in reference to a fire alarm. Officers met with a student who stated he was advised by Student Development to test the smoke detectors. The alarm was reset.
09/17/2015 Officers were dispatched to Firestine Hall in reference to a 911 call reporting an unconscious male. Officers checked the room and found the occupants asleep. The occupants were identified as students. Both males advised they were okay and had no idea why they were called. Officers checked the rest of the area, but were unable to locate an issue.
