11/26/2015 Officers were dispatched to an open door in the 500 block of North Wittenberg Ave. (non-Wittenberg owned property). Officers observed that the front door was open and it appeared the residence was unoccupied. Officers made entry and cleared the residence. The property appeared to be under heavy renovation. Officers secured all doors and contacted the property manager and advised him of the situation.
11/29/2015 Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of West College Ave. in reference to a report of a burglary. Upon their arrival, they spoke with a student who stated that she returned from Thanksgiving break and discovered that her 40-inch Samsung television was missing. Officers completed a crime scene check. The case is still under investigation.
12/01/2015 Officers investigated a car accident at the intersection of West Ward St. and North Fountain Ave. involving two students. The driver at fault was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
11/30/2015 Officers spoke to a student who was reporting a theft from his Firestine room. The student stated that on 11/30/15 at 4:30 p.m. he went to the HPER Center, and when he returned at 7:30 p.m., his xbox controller was missing. There were no signs of forced entry.
12/02/2015 Officers investigated an anonymous tip that there was underage alcohol consumption taking place in New Hall. Upon their arrival, the residents gave consent for officers to enter the room. There were multiple open containers in plain view and several students in the room consuming alcohol. This incident has been referred to Student Development for review.
