On Wednesday, Feb. 17, Wittenberg men’s basketball players Alex Fultz, Zach Brashear and Jay Bond were honored at Pam Evans Smith Arena for senior night before game time against Kenyon College.
The Tigers took control on both offense and defense at the beginning of the first half to later lose the lead against Kenyon with 5:00 left in the half, 26-25.
The Tigers lost the first half 35-28.
In the second half, juniors Shane Edwards and Cody Phillippi quickly racked up five points to take the lead, 37-33.
Only having 15:00 left in the game, the leading scorer of the night sophomore Christopher Sloneker made a couple of easy layups. Sloneker had 11 points for the night.
With a little over three minutes left in the second half, Brashear got possession of the ball in a pass from junior Jaelin Williams and hit a three, 59-56.
At the final buzzer, Wittenberg Tigers fell short 67-58 to the Kenyon Lords.
