04/07/2017 Officers were dispatched to Thomas Library for a fire alarm that automatically reset prior to the officer’s arrival. The fire panel and building checked okay.
04/07/2017 Officers were dispatched to Firestine Hall in reference to a fire alarm. The student stated she was curling her hair and the smoke detector went off. Springfield Fire Department (SFD) arrived on scene, cleared the room and reset the alarm panel.
04/07/2017 Officers were dispatched to the Firestine paid lot in reference to damage to a vehicle. The owner stated that when she pulled up to the gate, the arm was in the open position. As she drove through the open gate, the arm came down on the hood of her vehicle causing white paint transfer to the passenger side hood. A written statement and photos were submitted for the incident.
04/08/2017 Officers were dispatched to Firestine Hall for a third-floor drinking fountain that was leaking. The hallway near the water fountain was flooded, and water was pouring out of the bottom of the drinking fountain. Dispatch contacted the on-call Physical Plant worker to repair the fountain. Photos were taken and uploaded to the report.
04/08/2017 While on patrol, officers observed a student walking across the roadway in the 600 block of Woodlawn Avenue carrying an open container of a Natural Light beer. The student dumped the beer out. This incident has been referred to Student Development for further review.

04/08/2017 While conducting a dorm check of Ferncliff Hall, officers found an exit sign in front of room 435 hanging by the wires. Photographs were taken of the damage and a work order was submitted to Physical Plant.
04/11/2017 Officers were dispatched to the Student Center on the report of a suspicious male. Officers spoke with a Parkhurst employee who was the person of interest. He was waiting on a ride home.
04/12/2017 Officers were dispatched to Campus Ministries for a fire alarm. The SFD reset the alarm system. Physical Plant was notified about the issue.
04/12/2017 Officers were dispatched to Campus Ministries for an active fire alarm. The faulty smoke detector was setting the alarm off again. Physical Plant was contacted and they responded to fix the problem.
04/12/2017 Officers were dispatched to a house in the 600 blk. of Woodlawn Avenue for the report of damage to a bathroom door. A student stated that he and his fellow roommates had several friends over on 04/08/2017. Sometime on this day, an unknown person damaged the bathroom door. Physical Plant was contacted to fix the damage.
04/12/2017 Officers were dispatched to Tower Hall for an active fire alarm. Officers and SFD checked the room which was unoccupied. Officers obtained information that a student and a non-student were vaping in the room and, when the alarm activated, they left the building. This case was referred to Student Development.
04/12/2017 Officers were dispatched to Ferncliff Place and Woodlawn Avenue on the report of a vehicle off the roadway with the driver was slumped over. Officers identified the driver as a non-student. She had a medical conditional causing her to drive off the roadway. SFD responded and transported her to the hospital.
