Seniors and faculty gathered last Thursday in Founders to celebrate 100 days until graduation. The festivities of the evening included free food, drinks and music, followed by announcements made by the senior class president, Mecca Abdul-Aziz, ‘18.

Class announcements included:

leave behind.”- CS Lewis

Class Color: Green

Class Flower: Sweet Pea

Class Gift: Plaque in memory of Alina Simon and the start of a

scholarship in her memory, to be built upon every year

for students in need.

Graduation Speaker: King Letise III, Constitutional Monarch of the southern African Kingdom of Lesotho

Honorary class members chosen by the senior class also joined the senior Tigers for the celebration. Honorary members of the class of 2018 include: Angie Fairbanks, Edward Hasecke, Scott Rosenberg, Brooke Wagner, Amy McGuffey, Kevin Carey, John Ritter, Carol Nickoson, John Young, Mike Frandsen, Ian MacDonald and Brandee Bates.

After class announcements, senior class members talked amongst one another, many reminiscing on the last four years they’ve spent together at Wittenberg.

“It’s surreal (that) in 100 days, we will be stepping on the seal for the first time,” Haley Cochran, ‘18, said; a realization many seniors were sharing as the 100 days countdown commenced.
