Love Yourself:
On Tuesday, students had the opportunity to express why they love themselves. Sponsored by the National Alliance on Mental Illness, organizers provided students with a slip of paper to anonymously write why they love themselves. The slips of paper were then hung on a string around the halls of Hollenbeck. Valentine’s Day isn’t just for couples; sometimes it is equally important to remember to love ourselves.
“The event is designed to show people that you don’t have to have a significant other on Valentine’s Day,” Elena Dumm, ‘21, said. “It’s important to find things that you love about yourself before loving other people.”
WALentine’s Day:
Students met in Geil Lounge at the Benham Pence Student Center with members of the Wittenberg Art League to create Valentine’s Day cards for their loved ones last Tuesday. Everyone loves getting a card on Valentine’s Day and the Wittenberg Art Club guaranteed that everyone had a chance to make a card, even if Valentine’s Day did not fit their budget. It was a fun night of glitter, paper cuts and lots of love.
