Hello, Wittenberg. Did you miss us? Well, we missed you. The month-long winter break was definitely needed, but we could not have been more ready to get back on campus with all of you. Now let’s be honest, we weren’t dreaming of coming back to Witt for class (sorry profs) but we wanted to be here to spend as much time as possible with our beloved friends.

As many of you know, we are seniors but we choose not to associate with that word. The term senior means older or more experienced people and well we can honestly say that is NOT us. Last we checked we are not old nor do we have any experiences that would be able to define us as “experienced people.” If you have been keeping up with us, you know we make mistakes but those mistakes led to some of our best memories (stealing a traffic cone). Today we wanted to sit down and talk with you all about those memories specifically about the people who make them the greatest.

The people you surround yourself with during your years at college are the people who impact the person you are or want to be the most. Your high school friends do not even compare to the relationships you make in college. During your four years at Witt, you meet so many people and learn countless things about yourself. The people you circle yourself with guide you to achieve your goals and push you further than you thought possible. The girl I get the honor to write these columns with has pushed me to become the best person I can be through my academics, forcing me out of my comfort zone and making life here at Witt the best place yet. That girl sounds pretty amazing, right? Hi, it’s me, the other writer. Seriously, the dirtier blonde co-writer has been with me through it all, she has pushed me to do things that I would have never dreamed of and I am a better person for it.

As seniors, we spend a lot of time reflecting on our four short years as Wittenberg students. All of the memories, the amazing nights that may still be a little fuzzy to remember, the laughs, the deep conversations, the tears, the drives to Chipotle when you just couldn’t eat any more CDR and most importantly the people who have comprised all of these. We look back on the people we were as freshmen, coming into college ready to take on new responsibilities but still a little scared of the transition. We have been torn down by this place but we always come out standing, better than before. We have each other and our group of friends to thank for that.

The best memories come from places outside of your comfort zone, so this week we challenge everyone to take a step to deepen a relationship or remind a good friend of how much they mean to you. Anything is possible when you have the right people surrounding you.

We love you.

Sincerely,

Your Dirty Blondes

P.S

We want to talk about what you want to read, give us some topics.
