10/02/2015 Officers were dispatched to the Krieg Hall parking lot in reference to a criminal damaging complaint. Officers met with a student, who stated a male ran by and ripped the mirror off a vehicle parked in the lot. The suspect was described as a male with a thin build, curly dark hair and wearing a hockey jersey.
10/04/2015 Officers were dispatched to Ferncliff Hall in reference to an odor of marijuana. Officers located the room in which the odor was emanating from and asked the student for consent to search. The student declined to allow the officers to search, and the on-call dean was contacted for permission. After permission was granted, officers located several drug paraphernalia items and alcoholic beverages. This matter has been referred to student development for evaluation.
10/04/2015 Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of North Fountain Avenue in reference to a report of criminal damages. Officer spoke with the resident (a non-student), who stated an unknown person broke a “College Hill” sign and destroyed a flower bed at the intersection of North Fountain Avenue and Ferncliff Place. No suspects were listed.
10/05/2015 Officers were dispatched to police headquarters to take a report for a stolen banner. Officers met with a staff member, who reported the “Welcome Back Alumni” banner was removed from the front of the Student Center. No suspects were listed at the time of this report.
10/07/2015 Officers were dispatched to Wittenberg Avenue and West Ward Street in reference to a strong armed robbery. The victim was identified as a student. Two males approached the victim and stated they were looking for money. The victim relinquished $30 to the two males. The males then fled eastbound toward North Fountain Avenue. The E2Campus alert system was activated.
