9/23/16 Officers were dispatched to police headquarters in reference to a non-injury hit-skip traffic crash. Officers met with a student who stated that on 9/23/2016 between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. an unknown vehicle struck her 2008 Honda Accord. The crash occurred in the 900 blk. of Woodlawn Avenue.
9/24/16 Officers were dispatched to New Residence Hall in reference to a fire alarm. The alarm panel displayed that the fire alarm originated in the 1st floor elevator area. SFD arrived and could smell smoke in the area of the first floor elevator, but it was not visible. Officers found a trashcan near the elevator that had a warm bag of burnt popcorn. The microwave was also warm. SFD deemed the area safe and reset the alarm.
9/25/16 Officers were dispatched to New Residence Hall on a report of an intoxicated student that vomited outside the restroom door. Officers spoke with the student who stated that he started feeling sick to his stomach after he had dinner with his family at Applebee’s. The student stated that he drank water at dinner and had not had any beer or liquor. The student’s speech was slurred, he continued to repeat his statements and his eyes were bloodshot. This incident has been referred to Student Development for review.
9/25/16 Officers were dispatched to Edwards-Maurer Stadium in reference to a medical issue. A non-student had overheated and felt faint. Medics checked his vital signs and they were normal. The non-student refused transport by squad and medics assisted him to a cooler, shaded area.
9/26/16 Officers were dispatched to the Upper Lot in reference to an unauthorized parking spot being painted. The spot was painted in yellow parking stripes and read “Reserved.” Photos were taken with the report.
9/26/16 Officers were dispatched to Hollenbeck Hall in reference to a medical emergency. Officers met with a student who was having difficulty breathing. The student was transported to Springfield Regional Medical Center for evaluation. Student Development was notified.
