On Saturday, many of the students and faculty of Wittenberg were able to enjoy the Food Truck Festival held in the Benham-Pence Student Center Parking Lot. The event was sponsored by Student Involvement, The Interfraternity Council and The Panhellenic Council.
Three food trucks were in attendance at the event, including Pitabilities, Pa’s Pork and StuffedAtZays. Pitabilities featured a wide range of foods including pitas, salads and fries. Pa’s Pork showed off stuffed nachos and barbecue. StuffedAtZays had a unique offering of breakfast and brunch items that included stuffed walls and grit balls.
Wittenberg students had great things to say about the event.
“Whoever came up with the Food Truck Festival, it was a great idea,” Emma Siebert, ‘21, said. “I didn’t eat in the C.D.R. because I’ve been waiting for this.”
Lauren Kreamer, ‘21, was also pleased by the festival, but wished that “there were more food trucks.”
Nathan Repucci, ‘21, agreed with the sentiment expressing disappointment that there were not more food trucks in attendance.
Despite the low number of food trucks, the event appeared to be an overall success with dozens of students attending and purchasing food. Isiah Davis, the chef and owner of StuffedAtZays, stated in a Facebook Live video appearing on their Facebook page that he was “having a great time.”
